The woman who died in a car crash in Otago on Friday morning was Ema Louise McGeown of Oamaru.
Police confirmed the 27-year-old's death this afternoon.
The crash happened on State Highway 1 near the intersection of Hillgrove-Moeraki Road in Hampden, Otago, police said.
Ms McGeown's vehicle was the only car involved in the crash.
