Osmond postpones New Zealand tour

Donny Osmond has postponed his New Zealand tour because of a family illness.

Osmond was to have played two concerts, in Auckland on May 9 and Wellington on May 10. A spokeswoman for Osmond said the singer's mother-in-law had been battling cancer for the past couple years.

"Sadly her condition is failing and the doctors anticipate her passing is likely during the time Donny was scheduled to be on tour," she said.

The concert is being rescheduled for July.
