Czech police have shelved the case of two Czech experts fined in New Zealand for unauthorised picking of orchids.
The pair had committed no crime under Czech law, the Prague Daily Monitor reported a police spokeswoman as saying.
In 2004, the men were each fined $7500 in the Manukau District Court after being caught with more than 80 specimens of native orchids as they tried to leave the country.
