KEY POINTS:
205 countries, 302 competitions, and 86 countries' leaders came together in Beijing during the Olympic Games to enjoy a 16 day-long big party.
Today, thousands of athletes are farewelling their efforts of the last four years as they say goodbye to Beijing.

China has done her best to provide these athletes and travellers from all over the world a secure and comfortable environment to enjoy the "big world party". Most people enjoyed their stay in China and appreciated China - like the American athletes photographed in the Water Cube holding a "Thank you China" poster.
Although 10 foreign protesters were arrested.
In my view, it is good for them to have been arrested. If security didn't arrest them, that would be real trouble because they disturbed the huge amount of Chinese people enjoying their country's most glorious and happiest moment. Actually, these troublemakers are protected from being in trouble by angry Chinese.
No country could allow foreign people to caused a public disturbance in their land. I'm so surprised that these people can then blame others for what was their fault.
I really don't understand why some media think China's strict security, which is actually for protecting them, is wrong. Otherwise how did they be safely sitting there writing their gossip of Beijing?
Some people were looking forward to Beijing having a big accident, but nothing happened. No matter what you expected, I believe the true smiles on athletes' faces showing in last night's closing ceremony was proof of how well it went.
During the last 16 days, many athletes won the Games gloriously, and some of them lost tragically. I was always torn by these unforgettable tears and Cheers.
24th August 2008, Beijing Olympics had a happy ending!
