One sighting of missing Christchurch woman

Police have just one possible sighting of a Christchurch woman they have concerns for.

They have released a photo of Suzanne, or Sue, Marie Scott, 58, who was reported missing yesterday.

Ms Scott had been unwell recently and wandered away from her home in the suburb of Hoon Hay, leading to police to say they had "moderate concerns" for her safety.

She may be headed toward West Melton, about 20km away, where she had family.

One possible sighting was reported on Cashmere Road, opposite Princess Margaret Hospital, about 3km from her home, at about 4.30pm yesterday, said Detective Phil McDonnell.

"We continue to have concerns for her safety, as she has not been well, and we would like to hear from anyone who may have seen her in the vicinty."

She was described as European, about 155cm tall, of thin build with blue eye and grey hair. She was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt and blue jeans.
