One person is trapped in a car after the vehicle fell up to 30 metres down a bank in Canterbury this morning.
They are believed to have sustained leg injuries in the incident, which took place on West Coast Road, Springfield, at around 8.40am.
Three people were in the car at the time it plunged 20m-30m over the bank.
Two of the occupants are said to be uninjured, while a third is currently trapped and waiting the arrival of emergency services.
The Westpac rescue helicopter has been tasked to the scene, alongside an ambulance from Darfield.
