One person killed in tractor accident

One person is dead after a tractor accident on a farm in Ngamahanga, near Taihape, this afternoon.

The person, thought to be in their mid-40s, was dead at the scene when police arrived about 3.20pm, central police spokesman Ken Climo told NZPA.

It was not known what caused the accident, he said.
