One person died and three were seriously injured when a car lost control in south Auckland and "ploughed into another vehicle", police say.
A Manurewa police spokeswoman said the female backseat passenger of the car that lost control was killed, and the other two occupants of that car were seriously injured.
The occupant of the other vehicle suffered serious face, arm, and leg injuries.
Police want to hear from anyone who witnessed the accident, which happened on Mill Road, Manurewa, in South Auckland at 10.30pm on Monday, including those who left the scene before police arrived.
Manurewa Senior Sergeant Michael Woods later named the dead woman as Tamalane Josephine Loffley, 26, of Onehunga.
