One person has died after they were hit by a train in south Auckland this evening.
Emergency services are responding to the fatal collision on the scene near Gloucester Rd, in Manurewa.
A police spokeswoman said the incident occurred around 9.45pm and the pedestrian died at the scene.
"The track is currently closed and will remain so for some time," she said.
