One person is critically injured following a single-vehicle crash in Ashburton early this morning.
Police were called around 3.15am to reports that a car had crashed into a power pole on Staveley Rd.
The sole occupant of the car was airlifted to Christchurch Hospital.
The road is closed while the Serious Crash Unit investigates. Diversions are in place.
