One person burned in Auckland restaurant fire

One person has been taken to hospital with burns after a fat container caught fire at an Auckland Chinese restaurant today.

Five fire appliances battled the blaze at Flavour Hart Restaurant on Dominion Road, in the Auckland suburb of Mount Eden, just after 10.40am.

The fire is not believed to have spread through the building.

Firefighters are still at the scene.
