One person believed dead in Dunedin crash

Dunedin police are dealing with a serious two-vehicle crash which is believed to have killed one person.

A police spokesman said the crash happened about 4pm on State Highway 88 in the suburb of Ravensbourne and involved a car and a truck.

One vehicle had gone down a bank.

The road had been closed but police were doing their best to clear it as soon as possible.

He could give no other details.
