A Chilean man who was beaten senseless after giving two people a ride home from a Napier bar thinks one of them was a woman.
Detective John Ashfield said Leornardo Erazo, 28, had "a good black eye and some grazes to his head and face" after the assault and robbery, which happened early on Sunday.
Mr Erazo had been on a night out, and was unable to remember anything after the point when two people, one a woman, asked him for a ride home from a bar.
