A drug dealer described as a "one man band" has been jailed for seven years on a raft of drugs and firearms charges.
Lala Magele, 31, admitted 11 charges, some of them representative, of supplying class A, B and C drugs, possessing drugs for supply, possessing firearms and ammunition, and receiving.
At his sentencing today the High Court in Auckland was told he had sold nearly $100,000 worth of drugs in six months.
Crown prosecutor Kate Latimer told the court he was a one man band who did not rely on anyone else and who had no one working for him.
The court also heard police found three firearms, including two loaded shotguns at his Papatoetoe, south Auckland, house when they raided it.
They also found a significant amount of property, including television sets, stereos, electrical and musical gear and digital cameras conservatively valued at $20,000.
He told police he had the firearms and ammunition for protection.
Judge Patrick Keane ordered the destruction of the firearms.
