A person is dead after a quad bike accident on a farm in Waikato this morning.
Details about the person - including gender and age - were yet to be released by police, but a spokesman said emergency services were called to the farm near Chartwell about 5.45am.
"We can say it was on a farm and it involved a quad bike and one person was deceased," he said.
The farm was on Puketaha Rd, near the intersection of Seddon Rd.
A St John spokeswoman said paramedics were called to the scene, but the patient was deceased upon arrival and therefore was not taken to hospital.
