KEY POINTS:
One man was killed and two others injured when the vehicle they were in crashed near Foxton early this morning.
Sergeant Dylan Earle said all three occupants were thrown from the vehicle when the driver lost control between Foxton and Shannon, crashing through a fence and into a power pole at about 1.15am.
One man died at the scene and two others, aged 32 and 47, from Foxton, were taken to Palmerston North Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are investigating.
