KEY POINTS:
One of the intellectually disabled men missing in bush near Te Kuiti has been found but another is still missing.
Sergeant Chris Money said Alfred Jonakait, 53, was found at 9pm last night.
The search for Lewis Munro, 51, continued until 2am this morning and began again about 6am.
The two men had been visiting the area with other IHC members when they were separated from the group.
Senior Sergeant Rob Van Kalken, of Te Kuiti police, said concerns were raised about the missing pair about 5pm.
"We understand a group from the IHC went to an area south of Te Kuiti off SH30 known as the Viaduct, and when they came out of the bush were unable to account for two men from their group," he said.
Mr Munro is a male Caucasian with grey hair and glasses who was wearing red tracksuit pants and a top.
About 20 police and volunteers were searching for Mr Munro.
Mr Jonakait was taken to Te Kuiti hospital with minor injuries.
A police helicopter from Auckland and extra people from Hamilton had joined the search for Mr Munro.
Police said Mr Munro may be scared and disorientated.
They are asking motorists and farmers to look out for him.
