One person is in hospital after their car flipped on to its roof on Auckland's Ngapipi Rd, in Orakei, this morning.
Fire communications shift manager Jarron Phillips said the person had to be cut from their car by fire fighters using the jaws of life.
He said only one car was involved in the crash.
St John said an ambulance took one person to Auckland Hospital from the scene with moderate injuries just before 7am.
A commuter told nzherald.co.nz after 7am that traffic was being diverted from Ngapipi Rd on to Paritai Dr.
Police said another accident was recorded nearby at 7am, after a witness called in that a driver had crashed into a barrier on Fenton Cres.
