One person was taken to hospital in a serious condition after a house fire in Dunedin last night.
The Fire Service was called to the fire on North Taieri Rd just before 10.30pm, Southern Fire Service shift manager Brent Dunn said.
The house was well ablaze when crews arrived, he said.
The alarm was raised at a neighbouring property. Four fire crews attended.
A 55-year-old male was taken to Dunedin Hospital in serious condition for smoke inhalation, a St John spokesman said.
