A person suffered burns and neighbouring properties threatened to catch fire during an overnight blaze in an Auckland home.
Fire Service northern shift manager Colin Underdown said the fire broke out at 2.40am in a single-storey house in Unsworth Heights on the North Shore.
He said there were multiple calls to the home, which was quickly engulfed by fire.
Everyone managed to get out of the burning Mandeville Pl property but one person was treated for minor burns and smoke inhalation.
At one point neighbouring properties came under threat from the blaze.
