A truck has smashed into a power pole at an intersection, leaving one person injured and delaying traffic.
Police said the crash happened this afternoon near the intersection of Linwood Rd and Kingseat Rd in Kingseat, South Auckland.
Police Northern Communications acting shift manager Chris Money said police were at the scene and he expected some stretches of road in the area to stay closed until 5pm, as the pole and power lines were cleared off the road.
Mr Money advised motorists in the area to use a diversion down Batty Rd.
He said one person was understood to have been injured, but those injuries were not serious.
