A brazen aggravated robbery has left one person injured, after three men with a blunt weapons stole wallets, cellphones, and other goods from a house in Palmerston North.
Five people were in the house on Tyne St, about 9.30pm on Sunday, when three Pacific Island or Maori men with their heads and faces partially concealed with motorcycle masks or bandannas entered the house.
After threatening the occupants - three of whom lived at the house - wallets cellphones, a PlayStation 4 console, an electric guitar, a TV set, and two laptop computers were stolen.
The offenders threatened to return if the police were called.
A victim who was struck with a bat was treated at Palmerston North Hospital the evening of the attack, and was later released.
