Firefighters are battling a blaze at a Rotorua house.
Fire Service northern communications shift manager Steve Smith said they received several calls for the Edmund Rd fire at 9.54 this morning.
The fire was well involved and one person had been taken to Rotorua hospital with burns.
Two appliances are at the scene and a fire safety officer is en route to the home.
