A 50-year-old truck driver has been rushed to hospital after his truck rolled and he was thrown onto the road.
The Christchurch man was flown to Nelson hospital at 2.14pm today by the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter after the smash 2km north of Shenandoah, near Murchison, on State Highway 65.
He was treated by St John intensive care paramedics at the scene for serious chest and abdominal injuries.
The scene was also attended by Murchison fire and police.
