One person is feared dead in a boat fire on Waiheke Island.
A Fire Service spokesman said staff were called to a boat parked in a boat club on Causeway Rd in Ostend about 9.30pm.
It was well-involved in fire, he said.
"One person was injured with moderate injuries and taken to hospital. A second person is missing," he said.
While staff are trying to establish what happened to the second person, there are concerns they may have died, the spokesman said.
