One person was killed and two injured in a car crash last night.
Police said emergency services were alerted to a serious crash on Otatara Road near Currans Road, Invercargill, at about 7.45pm.
Specialist staff including a serious crash investigator attended the scene and planned to continue their scene examinations this morning.
Police said one person died, one had moderate injuries and was taken to Southland Hospital, and a third person received minor injuries.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
