A 67-year-old man died at the scene of a three-vehicle crash south of Auckland this morning.
Two other people were hospitalised, one with serious injuries, after the crash on Glenbrook Road in Glenbrook, west of Karaka about 8.20am, Inspector Gary Hill said.
The circumstances around the crash remained unclear.
"There has been a collision involving [two] northbound cars and a light truck travelling in the opposite direction.''
Meanwhile, a 53-year-old pedestrian was taken to hospital in a critical condition after he was struck by a car in Karaka, southwest of Papakura, about 7.50am.
