One person has died and two others are injured after a stolen car crashed in the Hutt Valley.
Police said the vehicle was found overturned at 6.30am on Hebden Cres, a road that runs alongside State Highway 2.
Inspector Mike Coleman said a male was dead at the scene, while two other occupants, a male and a female, were taken to hospital.
One was taken to Wellington and the other to Hutt Hospital, he said.
Mr Coleman said the overturned car had been stolen, and it appeared no other vehicles had been involved in the crash.
