One dead in Helensville crash

One person is dead after a car and truck crashed west of Auckland today and the car caught fire.

Police said the road at Helensville was closed at 11.30am after the accident and would stay closed for two or three hours.

Traffic was diverted while the police serious crash unit attended and debris was cleaned up.
