KEY POINTS:
One person died and five others suffered minor injuries in a crash on Auckland's Northwestern motorway last night.
The crash happened close to the Pt Chevalier off-ramp in the city-bound lanes around 7.30pm. One person died at the scene.
A section of the motorway was closed and diversions were in place on Great North Rd.
