One person has been killed in a serious crash in Canterbury this afternoon.
A van rolled near Woodend at the intersection of Harris Road and Gressons Road shortly before 12.40pm, police said
A male passenger died at the scene.
Road blocks are in place at both ends of Gressons Rd, at State Highway 1 and Rangiora Woodend Rd, with diversions in place around the scene, while the Canterbury Serious Crash Unit completed a scene examination.
Police said the driver has been taken to Christchurch Hospital as a precaution.
