One dead after three-car crash on Auckland motorway

One person is dead after a three-car crash on the Auckland motorway tonight.

The crash happened on the southbound lanes near the Khyber Pass about 8.50pm, Inspector Matt Rogers of northern police communications told NZPA.

The motorway had been reduced to one lane which was causing "considerable delays for traffic", he said.

No further details were available.
