One person has died after a serious motorcycle crash in the Far North.
Police were called to Awaroa Rd, in Broadwood, southwest of Kaitaia, around 3.30pm today.
The person died at the scene, a police statement said.
A St John Ambulance spokeswoman said a helicopter and two ambulances were sent to the crash.
She referred further queries to police.
The Serious Crash Unit attended and enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances of the crash.
