One dead after motorway smash

One person is dead and three are seriously injured after a crash on Auckland's southwestern motorway.

The accident happened shortly before 10 o'clock last night on the south-bound lanes of the motorway between Bader and Massey Rds.

Police were at the scene last night and an investigation into the cause of the crash is still underway.

Anyone who saw the crash or who has any information that may help the investigation is being asked to contact police.
