A person has been found dead after a house fire at a retirement village in Auckland this morning.
Emergency services were called to Riddell Rd in Glendowie at 7.45am, police said.
“One person was located deceased at the address.”
The house was in the St Andrew’s Village retirement complex, with a resident describing the victim as “a lovely lady”.
Another resident said he smelt smoke this morning and saw a fire truck entering the complex.
Police and Fire and Emergency are looking into the cause of the fire.
Jackpot will roll over to Wednesday after tonight's $8m prize wasn't struck.
