One person has died following a car crash in Rotorua early this morning.
Northern fire communications shift supervisor Nicole Bernard said the fire service was alerted that a car had came off Hamurana Rd in Okere Falls at 5.20am.
"We arrived at 6.40am, when they got there they said there was one person trapped. They came back and said there was one fatality.''
The fire service were still at the scene with police and ambulance services.
No other vehicles were believed to have been involved in the crash.
