One dead after collision in Waikato

A person is dead after a truck and car crashed on State Highway 27 near Matamata.

Police and ambulance were at the scene between Wardville and Gillert roads.

A statement from police said the driver of the truck has suffered minor injuries.

Part of State Highway 27 has been closed and diversions are in place. Traffic flow in the area was moderate, police said.
