* Two new consultants have joined Cedric Allan Associates. Sue Warren is a senior consultant who specialises in marketing and branding, market analysis, business strategy development and corporate communications. She was chief executive of The New Zealand Way when it was a stand-alone venture of the Trade Development Board and the Tourism Board, and has recently returned from England where she worked as a project manager.
Natalie Baragwanath has joined the firm after completing a graduate diploma in communications and public relations at the Auckland Institute of Technology, following a BA from Auckland.
* Pablo Garcia is the new chief executive of Task Technology, which supplies retail automation systems to the oil industry. He was chairman and managing director of medical software developer, Mana Group. Mr Garcia has also held senior positions in the information technology and energy sectors.
Pat McCammon has joined the company as international sales and marketing manager. He has had 20 years in the IT industry and was manager of smartcard and payment technology developer, Intellect Australia.
Wendy Stanley has become operations manager. She has been with Task Technology for seven years and was training and installations manager.
* Protector Safety Supply has promoted Geoff Leslie to central region manager. He has had 15 years in the safety industry, and was branch manager for the company's Bay of Plenty stores, based in Rotorua.
* Tracey Sharpe has joined the executive leasing team of OPAL Consulting Group Ltd in the newly-created position of candidate liaison manager. She has a BA in industrial psychology and has worked in engineering and IT recruitment for seven years.
* Janeen Kingham has joined High Impact Marketing as sales manager. She has been in the promotional advertising industry for six years and was with Argos Promotional Products.
* The marketing manager of Progressive Enterprises Ltd, Ian Letele, has been promoted to general manager supermarkets, responsible for the company's Foodtown, Countdown and 3 Guys supermarkets. He will also direct activities between the company's merchandise, operations, marketing and security departments.
* David Clarke is joining Novell New Zealand as its first locally-based consultant. For the last two and a half years he has been local area network manager and team leader for National Mutual, and before that worked for Ord Minnett and IBM in New Zealand, and Northern Telecom in Britain. He will be based in Wellington.
Gavin Stone has been appointed channel development manager, based in Auckland. He was product marketing manager with Compaq, and before that was business manager at Com Tech Communications. He has also worked with Datamatic and Computerland.
* Gordon Chesterman is to become an independent director of Print House, based in Hamilton. He is a director of Waikato Regional Airport, and until recently was a director of Waipa Power.
