* Jeffery van Vorsselen has become food and beverage manager at Sheraton Auckland Hotel and Towers. He was reception manager for the hotel. Mr van Vorsselen has worked for Sun International in Africa and Southern Pacific Hotel Corporation in this country.
* Kathleen Cameron is joining Drake International Ltd to head its new call centre division. She was call centre director for Prestige Marketing Ltd, and has also worked in the industry overseas.
* The Employers' Federation's new manager of corporate communications is Conor English, who was working as an adviser and press secretary at Parliament.
* Peter Earlam is the new managing director of Computer Associates New Zealand. He joined the company 18 months ago as Australian Capital Territory state manager, after 22 years with the Australian Navy. He is based in Wellington.
* Corbans Wines has appointed Mark Cornish as northern region sales manager. He was with DB Group, most recently as South Island off-premises regional manager.
Julia Cree has joined the company as on-premises account manager. She has worked in wine and spirit distribution in Britain and Hong Kong and was with Glengarry in Auckland.
Tara Nathan has become the Auckland grocery account manager, while Kerry Walden is the new Waikato account manager.
* P&O Nedlloyd has named Rod McKenzie as its Wellington-based general manager, sales and marketing. He has been in the industry for more than 30 years and was Victorian state manager for the company. He replaces Roger Ryan, who has joined the Dairy Board.
* The former chief executive of Ports of Auckland, Robert Cooper, has become a director of Northland Port Corporation (NZ) Ltd. He succeeds Jack Guy, who has retired from the board. Mr Cooper lives in Kerikeri and is managing director of Portunus Ltd and chairman of the Maritime Safety Authority.
