On the move: Marketing head for university

Vivien Sutherland Bridgewater has been appointed marketing manager of the Auckland University of Technology. She has a background in radio as general manager of Mai FM and later general manager of The Radio Bureau, and more recently has worked as an independent consultant. She is a member of the board of Television New Zealand and a trustee of the Mayoral Foundation. Liz Glasgow has taken up the new role of communications manager. She has a background in news reporting and corporate communications here and in Australia, and for the last year has been working as a communications consultant.

* Roger Payne is the new general manager of AT&T Global Network Services, New Zealand. He was managing director of CallPlus Ltd.

* Telecom has promoted Jane Austin to general manager communications. She joined Telecom 10 years from British Telecom in Britain, and has held a number of roles with the company in communications, service and sales, the most recent as services brand manager.

* Alison Summers is joining Christchurch-based NZVET Ltd as business development manager for companion animal business in the Auckland metropolitan area. She has a background in information technology management and has experience in animal breeding and competitions.

* Maersk New Zealand Ltd has promoted Vicki Jacques to financial controller and department head. She joined the firm last year as financial accountant and before that worked with Blue Star Lines and with the Ministry of Agriculture in Hamilton.

* Dean Rawle is joining Compaq Computer New Zealand Ltd as business manager, commercial personal computing group. He will be responsible for the financial and operational management of the group, and for improving its revenue streams and service levels. He has a background in financial management with a number of informational technology organisations here and overseas.
