Mobile information technology company, Mission Control Ltd, has made Luigi Cappel managing director. He has been in hand-held computing and was business development manager at Computer Enhancements. He has also managed the systems division of Monaco Corporation.
* Warren Larsen and Warren Bell have become directors of PDL Holdings Ltd.
* Mr Larsen is chief executive of the Dairy Board and Mr Bell is a corporate services partner in the Christchurch office of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu.
* O'Neils Personnel has promoted consultant Bruce Scott to manager, freight and transport. Before joining the consultancy, he was general manager of Auckland coastal shipping company, Coastline Services.
* John Smith has joined Prism Software as account director, responsible for new business development and management of large corporate accounts. Mr Smith was founding director of Axis Software Design Ltd which he has sold to an independent Australian software vendor.
* McDonalds Restaurants has appointed Susan Davies as food solutions manager, responsible for new product development, pricing strategy, packaging solutions and menu item bundling strategies. She was in product management positions with Heinz-Watties, Cerebos Greggs and Ernest Adams.
Peter Murray-Brown has joined as business development manager, responsible for developing and implementing a brand positioning strategy. He has been in brand management in Britain and Australia.
* Raymond Cheng has joined Alstom New Zealand as products manager. He has had 26 years as an engineering manager, the last 10 with Mercury Energy (now Vector) where he held various positions. Mr Cheng is a registered and chartered engineer.
* John Boon has taken up the newly-created position of southern region general manager for Clear Communications.
He has had 20 years in technology and telecommunications, and was the New Zealand general manager of two multinational computing and IT companies, Amdahl NZ and DMR.
