Little Annelise Banks didn't know where to look - at top BMX rider Sarah Walker or the shiny Olympic silver medal sitting beside her.
The 5-year-old from Cambridge Primary School had a huge smile on her face as she approached Walker to get an autograph and see the medal up close at her school yesterday.
Annelise was among a crowd of students, teachers and parents who met the New Zealand Olympic cycling team for about an hour.
The team chatted to students, posed for photos and attended the school assembly before visiting the site of the new Home of Cycling Avantidrome being built near Cambridge.
Walker, 24, won silver in the women's BMX final in London a week ago. Colombian Mariana Pajon won the event and Laura Smulders, of the Netherlands, was third.
