Old guard for Wai-Bush 125th

Wairarapa-Bush Rugby Union executive assistant Debby Castles says about 150 past and present players, referees and administrators have indicated they will be attending the 125th anniversary celebrations of the Bush and Wairarapa unions over Queen's Birthday weekend.
The closing date for registrations is May 27 and, while Castles is pleased with the current response, she also knows that many of those eligible to attend have yet to reply and that some may not even have been contacted.
"We don't have any database to work from so we have to accept there could be some people who have been overlooked. We've tried our absolute darndest to cover all the bases and all we can do is ask anybody who is eligible for an invite and hasn't received one to get in touch and we will make sure they are on the list."
A highlight will be awards to ex-Bush, Wairarapa and Wairarapa-Bush players, referees and administrators.
