The car categories were veteran, vintage, post vintage, post war, post'60s, post'80s and commercial, and prizes were given for winners of sections such as Entrants' Choice and Teams Event.
Rally and club chairman Neville Taylor said he was extremely pleased with the turnout.
"A lot of people have said there's more turned up today than turn up to the Masterton A&P; show," Mr Taylor said.
The New Rags Market, a vintage clothing, cosmetics, arts and crafts market was also on display at the show.
Organiser and co-curator Abbie McCall said the market showcased 45 stalls which had proved extremely popular throughout the day.
"We think it's been one of our most successful markets. We've had a steady stream of visitors all day," she said.
Mrs McCall said she had been approached by the Vintage Car Club about adding a couple of stalls but had decided to hold an entire market.
"The Vintage Car Club was the perfect market for us, as we've always liked to include vintage in our markets.
"We have quite a strong ethos around handmade and up-cycling, reinventing homeware, clothing for new purposes," she said.
Mrs McCall's stall, called "B", specialised in honey-based beauty products, while another stall ran by vintage stylist Claire Gormly offered vintage style cosmetics and old-fashioned hair and makeup.
"It's about trying to bring old-fashioned glamour back," she said.
A vintage-style hairdo cost market-goers $30.
