An oil tanker has been recovered after becoming wedged between two boat ramps at Auckland's Wynyard Wharf.
The truck was backing onto a Sealink ferry at about 6:15am when the vessel boarding ramp moved backward in the tide.
Its cab was trapped on a diagonal angle in a gap between the vessel and the wharf, while its trailer stayed in place on the ferry.
Sealink managing director Todd Bolton said the truck was secured soon after the incident.
Oil was drained from the tanker before a crane winched it to safety at about 9am, he said.
