Emergency services are trying to stop an oil and diesel spill from entering the water after a truck carrying the liquids rolled in Morrinsville this morning.
The truck hit power lines on Cameron Rd at 5.30am, bringing them down. The impact of the crash caused 200 litres of fuel to spill over the road, said Fire Service shift manager Jarron Philips.
The lines were hanging dangerously low over the road and emergency services and Environment Waikato were working to stop the fuel from entering the water, he said.
