An oil spill from a truck caused a crash on the Manawatu Gorge road this evening, injuring the occupants of a vehicle and closing the road.
Police said the crash happened on the Ashurst side of the gorge.
The vehicle's occupants suffered minor injuries.
The Manawatu Gorge has been temporarily closed and traffic was being diverted through Pahiatua Track on both sides.
Police were on the scene and contractors were on their way to clean up the spill.
