KEY POINTS:
Petrol and diesel prices are on the rise for the second time in a week.
BP and Caltex yesterday lifted their petrol prices by 4c a litre and diesel by 6c, blaming rising import costs and a weakening New Zealand dollar, leaving Shell, Mobil and Gull considering whether to join them.
The move has pushed the price of 91-octane petrol to $1.64c a litre and diesel to $1.16c. Diesel has risen at BP and Caltex stations by 10c a litre, and petrol by 7c, since a week ago.
