An office worker has today admitted stealing $133,000 from a Christchurch company involved in the city's rebuild.
The administrator and receptionist, who has interim name suppression, handled large amounts of cash at the firm.
But between November 2012 and January 2015, she stole thousands of dollars at a time, and put it into her own bank account.
She had originally denied the charges and was heading to trial this month.
However, at Christchurch District Court today she admitted three representative charges.
