KEY POINTS:
BMW New Zealand has announced pricing for the BMW X6, a coupe version of the X5 off-roader, which is set to arrive in June. If a coupe off-roader sounds odd, it is (BMW calls it a sports activity coupe).
The X6 will be the first car to feature a stability system called Dynamic Performance Control, which modulates the power to the two rear wheels under power and when the engine is on over-run.
The 3.0-litre twin-turbo petrol version will be known as the xDrive35i (the "xDrive" refers to the company's predictive four-wheel-drive system). The 3.0-litre twin-turbo diesel will be the xDrive35d. The 35i and 35d will start at $139,000 when launched.
The top-line xDrive50i won't touch down until later in the year.
